OGS Webinars

This morning, from the comfort of my house and with about fifty other OGS members, I attended the twelfth webinar give by the Society. That completes the first year of offering this service, which has included talks by Lisa Alzo, the Legal Genealogist Judy G. Russell, Thomas MacEntee of High-Definition Genealogy, Linda Woodward Geiger and Daniel Horowitz. This morning, Kathryn Hogan of spoke on How to Use Social Media in Your Family History.

The webinars have been recorded to allow OGS members to listen in...but there is a time limit. They can only be made available for one year, so they will soon disappear. Check the OGS Members Only site to watch and listen to the previous webinars.

Next month will feature Thomas MacEntee again with a talk on `Mind Mapping Your Research Plans and Results'. It will be held on Thursday October 2, 2014 @7:00 pm:
  • Do you have trouble planning a genealogy research strategy? What if you had an automated way to lay out concepts, variables and actions?
